Alpha Aviation received gold medal using a Robinson R22 helicopter at the World Helicopter Championships in 1999.

Starting with the strong Russian team, this match comprised several international competing national teams defending their honor – a helicopter olympics, so to speak.

Beating the many high power turbine helicopters that were lined up, the team that uniquely utilized a Robinson R22 instead, was indeed Alpha Aviation of Japan.

There’s of course no possibility of achieving medals if not looking back on repetitious, minute training, but that you can win a world championship with a Robinson and bring this message out to the many Robinson owners of the world, was something that inspired and motivated us.
